Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to the ShowingMarket website and app.
1. Information we collect
Account & professional: name, email, phone, brokerage, license number and state, MLS ID, and lockbox/Supra key.
Showings: addresses, time windows, fees, messages between the parties, and buyer-interest notes you log.
Location: GPS coordinates at check-in/out and presence samples during an active showing, used to verify on-site attendance and run the safety timer.
Device: push notification token and basic device info.
Payments: handled by Stripe — we receive confirmation and status, but we do not store your full card number.
Usage: aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics about how the site is used.
2. How we use it
To operate the marketplace (matching, posting, claiming), verify licenses, process payments and payouts, enable messaging and notifications, run safety features, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product.
3. How we share it
With the other party to a showing — the Requesting and Showing Agents see each other’s relevant details, location during the showing, and messages.
Service providers — Stripe (payments), Supabase (database/auth), mapping and push-notification providers, acting on our behalf.
Legal — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Location data
We collect precise location only in the context of an active showing (check-in, presence sampling, check-out) to verify attendance and support safety. You can disable location at the OS level, but doing so may prevent check-in and payout.
5. Notifications
We send transactional push and email notifications (e.g., new opportunities, check-out approvals, safety alerts). You can manage email/push preferences in Settings or your device.
6. Retention & security
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. We use industry-standard safeguards, though no system is perfectly secure.
7. Your choices
You can access or update your profile in the app, adjust notification preferences, and request account deletion by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data.
8. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
9. Children
The Platform is for licensed professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.
